Mr. Hershey opened his first candy business at the age of 18. The Hershey Milk Chocolate bar was introduced to the United States in 1900.

Founded by the Hershey's in 1909 as a home and school for orphan boys, the Hershey School now serves both boys and girls from more than 30 states. When Milton Hershey died, he left his entire fortune to his school.
